    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Grants & Fellowships South Arts Accessibility Grants

Through our partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, South Arts offers small grants that complement existing efforts by arts organizations to include audiences and artists with disabilities. Accessibility micro-grants are available to support nonprofit, 501c3, arts organizations located within South Arts’ nine-state region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. This funding program is open to a wide variety of organizations, including community cultural organizations, museums, performing arts presenters, theatre companies, visual arts, and music organizations.

Grants & Fellowships South Arts Readiness, Relief, and Recovery Grant

The Arts Readiness, Relief, and Recovery Grant provides $1,000 grants to artists in South Arts’ nine-state region residing in the FEMA disaster areas of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee impacted by Hurricanes Helene and/or Milton. Artists working in craft, traditional arts, design, literary, media/film, performing arts, visual arts, and interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary arts may apply for a grant to safeguard their studios, protect their practices, and prepare for emergencies. This opportunity is open to professional artists 18 years or older whose artistic practice generates any portion of their income. This recovery grant is for individual artists only who have not received relief or recovery funding from South Arts, ArtsAVL, CERF+, or any other arts agency or organization providing financial assistance to artists impacted by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton.

Grants & Fellowships South Arts Arts in Community Grants

Arts in Community Grants are designed to support deeper engagements between Southern communities and artists. Through these grants, we aim to increase access to the arts, expand audiences for artists, and broaden our reach. Eligible projects require a Southern artist/company visiting another Southern state for a community residency of three days or more. The residency must include at least three in-person or live, virtual public activities with a minimum of four hours of artist engagement spread across the three activities. Funding supports Southern film directors, traditional artists, visual artists, performing artists, or writers:

film (documentary, fiction, experimental, and animation),
traditional arts (music, dance, storytelling, and visual arts/crafts),
visual arts (crafts, drawing, experimental, painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media),
performing arts (theater, music, opera, musical theater, and dance), and
literary arts (fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry).

Visual Art Trade Alley Art Gallery--Call for Artists!

Trade Alley Art Gallery in historic downtown Hickory, NC is looking for artists to participate in a 2-D competition and show. Cash prizes totaling $1200. Deadline for entry is September 5th 2025. Reception is October 3rd.

CALL FOR ARTISTS! Artists working in all media are invited to enter the Hispanic Heritage Group Show, Sept 15th - 29th. Focused on Hispanic Heritage, culture, and creativity!
Eligible works: 2D and 3D mediums, with an emphasis on Hispanic Heritage.
Eligibility Area: Artists' Guild of Spartanburg Members or Non-Members residing in Polk or Rutherford Counties in North Carolina and Cherokee, Union, Laurens, Greenville, and Spartanburg Counties in South Carolina.

Visual Art Wayne Art Center

Wayne Art Center is seeking submissions for the 30th International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Craft, in the following mediums: basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. Works created utilizing CAD/CAM technologies and 3D printing tools are also eligible. Selected works will be on display in the Davenport Gallery of Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from December 7, 2025 through January 24, 2026.

Midwest Nice Art is excited to announce our fall call for art dislocated, a virtual juried exhibition. we invite artists to submit work for dislocated, a group exhibition exploring themes of unease, displacement, and disconnection. this exhibition examines what it means to be uprooted—whether from a physical place, a sense of belonging, or within one’s own body. we seek work that reflects on instability, transition, and transformation, confronting the fractures in identity, memory, and space.

Stores, Sales & Shows Come Out and Play Sculpture Show

The 24th annual Come out and Play Sculpture show will take place at JimGin Farm (150 Wild Horse Run, Pittsboro) Saturday, August 23, Sunday, August 24, 2025, and then every Saturday through September 20, 2025 from 12 noon to sundown. Admission is free, and participating artists keep 100% of their sales. Dozens of artists across a wide array of disciplines will showcase their work. There will also be live music, food and drink and the event.
