We are pleased to announce our third Artist's Choice Online Art Competition for the month of April 2026. This is an open-subject competition, welcoming artists from around the world to submit their work. All visual art mediums are allowed. In addition to the selected artists, the jury will select award winners in the following art categories: painting, photography, sculpture. All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate.

The 2027 Creative Capital Open Call seeks proposals from individual artists in all 50 states for new artistic works in the Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Film, and Literature.

The Creative Capital Award provides unrestricted project grants of up to $50,000 to individual artists to create new work. The new State of the Art Prize provides unrestricted artist grants of $10,000.

Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the sixth Black & White Online Art Contest for the month of April 2026. Entries must include black and white or shades of gray as the primary focus. All visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. Winning artwork (Best of Show) will be on the poster of the show. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. The deadline to submit entries is April 2, 2026.

The Christmas Spirit Foundation is conducting the 5th Annual Christmas Card Design Contest and you could win cash prizes. We want to see what “Christmas Spirit” means to YOU! To enter, you will design a one-sided Christmas card that shows what “Christmas Spirit” means to you. The design should fit on 6 inch x 4 inch frame (vertical or horizontal). One entry per person.

The City of Raleigh seeks to hire an artist or artist team to create public art for the proposed GoRaleigh/GoWake Access Transit Facility. Artists and designers with lived experience or knowledge of universal design principles and/or designing for accessibility are encouraged to apply. Art opportunities could include designs for low vision, incorporating tactile or audio elements, interactivity, and/or co-creation with members of the disability community.

Initiated in 2018, the Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space, and professional support for a national artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency, the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited. **Deadline extended to April 7, 2026.

"Exploration” will be an in-person juried exhibition running from May 2 – June 13, 2026 at the Visual and Performing Arts Center (VAPA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. For this exhibition, we seek artwork that interprets exploration in its many forms. Exploration can mean trekking into the wilderness, diving into memory, experimenting with materials, or pushing into new creative territory. Exploration is both a journey and a question. It is curiosity made visible. All visual 2D media will be considered.

Artspace, in partnership with Raleigh Area Land Trust (RALT), Raleigh Raised Development, Haven DesignBuild, and members of the Idlewild Neighborhood Art Committee, invites artists to submit proposals for a public art installation in the Idlewild neighborhood of Raleigh, North Carolina.

This project is part of the Cottages of Idlewild, an affordable housing development rooted in African American homeownership, family histories, and community legacy.

Our virtual residency offers the chance to expand your global presence, showcase work internationally, and collaborate with peers from around the world, all from home. In this program, artists develop a project that aligns with the residency’s theme and results in a clear, tangible outcome. Their work explores the many dimensions of the OCEAN through technical approaches, conceptual inquiry, personal reflection, and experiential research.

Inspired by the UN Ocean Decade, each project should thoughtfully engage with ocean conservation, education, and the broader efforts to protect and sustain our marine environments.
