  • NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources
    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Grants & Fellowships, Performing Arts Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants

Are you a dancer anywhere in the US in dire financial emergency? Have you recently lost engagements, or been ill or injured? You may be eligible for a one-time Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grant of up to $3,000. Cycle 19 is open through August 12 for essential expenses including rent, utilities, medicine/healthcare, and food. Cycle 20 will be open September 9 - October 7. Bimonthly cycles will follow. Learn more at this online information session on August 27. This national program is administered by New York Foundation for the Arts and funded by Robert Rauschenberg Foundation. Privacy is guaranteed. 

These programs are open to artists living anywhere in the U.S., its territories, tribal nations, and the District of Columbia. Artists with disabilities, artists of color, and artists living outside of New York are particularly encouraged to apply. Visual Art Wayne Art Center

Wayne Art Center seeks submissions for Art Quilt Elements 2026, a juried group exhibition of contemporary fine art quilts. Selected works will be on display at Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from March 23 through April 25, 2026. Applications accepted July 1-October 16, 2025. Visual Art Grace Gallery Annual Juried Exhibition

Grace Arts Center Gallery, Mills River, NC proudly presents the 21st Annual Juried Art Exhibition! All mediums of visual artists with 2D and 3D work accepted. Artists may drop off their work to be judged in person October 26th from 3-6 pm or October 27th from 9am - 12 noon. An Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 6:30 pm with cash prizes & multiple awards including Best Emerging Artist. Our 2025 Juror is Katrina Chenevert, artist and gallery owner in Asheville.

Submissions are $20 per piece. Max of 2 pieces per artist.

RAISE YOUR ZINE! is an annual photography competition organized by THE DOCKS, a cultural association specializing in photographic publishing and promoting emerging authors. The festival serves as a platform to support the development of editorial projects by talented photographers from around the world.

Literary Arts Anthology Poetry Competition 2025

Established to recognise and encourage excellence in the craft of poetry writing and to provide a platform for publication, the Anthology Poetry Competition is open to original and previously unpublished poems in the English language. Entries are invited from poets of all nationalities, living anywhere in the world. There is no restriction on theme or style. Poems submitted should not exceed 40 lines. There is no limit to entries per person. Each submission will require a separate entry.

Prizes - FIRST: The winner will receive a €1,000 cash prize and the chance to see their work published in a future issue of Anthology. SECOND: €250 THIRD: €150

Literary Arts Anthology Cover Art Competition 2025

Submissions are now invited for the Anthology Cover Art Award. Established to foster and support both established and emerging visual artists and provide a platform for publication, the competition is open to multiple genres including painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography and digital media.

Visual Art Pretty In Pink | Art Competition

Artists and photographers are encouraged to submit their best work to the Pretty in Pink Art Competition. An open-themed celebration of the color pink in all its forms. From soft pastels to bold fuchsias, we welcome every interpretation, from cherry blossoms, neon lights to bubblegum. All styles and mediums are welcome to apply.

Film The Hayti Heritage Film Festival

The Hayti Heritage Film Festival (HHFF) returns March 4 - 7, 2025 in Durham, NC.
HHFF is a teaching festival as well as a celebration of cinematic works from filmmakers of African descent with particular consideration given to Southern, Black stories and storytellers. HHFF is one of the nation's longest-running Black film festivals and features documentary screenings, narrative shorts and feature-length films including U.S. premieres.
Filmmaker Workshops, Q&A sessions, and panel discussions are among the other attractions.

Film, Grants & Fellowships, Multidisciplinary, Performing Arts, Visual Art Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants

Are you an artist in need of critical medical, mental health, or dental treatment? Has a medical emergency impacted your creative practice? The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $5,000 for recent, unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies experienced by artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, or choreography. Privacy is guaranteed. Cycle 32 will be open August 12 through September 9 for emergencies that occurred February 1, 2025 and after. Cycle 33 will be open October 7 - November 4 for emergencies occurring April 1, 2025 and after. Learn more in this recorded information session. Cycles will continue through at least September 2025.

Grants & Fellowships The Hopper Prize

The Hopper Prize is accepting submissions for $4,500 and $1,000 artist grants. They will be providing 6 grants totaling $13,000 USD. 2 artists will receive $4,500 & 4 artists will receive$1,000. All media is eligible. Our open call provides you with a direct path to get your work in front of an international community of curators, artists, gallerists, and arts administrators. Additional exposure is available via a 30 artist shortlist, online journal, & Instagram currently reaching over 150k.
