A+ Schools will accept new schools into the A+ network in the summer of 2027!

A+ Schools of North Carolina is the nation’s longest-running, most successful, arts-based, whole-school transformation model. A+ provides high-quality professional development and ongoing support so that teachers can create engaging, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences for their students. We honor the uniqueness of every school and customize professional development experiences for the individual needs and character of each school community. The A+ model works in all types of schools, pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Participation in a five-day summer A+ institute is a school’s official entry into the A+ network. The institute is a highly experiential opportunity for a school’s entire staff to engage with the foundational components of A+: the A+ Essentials. Through individual, grade-level, small-group, whole-school, and cross-school experiences, educators reflect on their instructional practices, build comfort in creative teaching and the arts, and learn to implement A+ practice.

Can’t make it to the summer conferences? No worries. We’re still eager to talk with you about becoming an A+ School.
