This month-long residency provides funding, studio space, and professional support for a national artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. VAPA Center Exploration Exhibition "Exploration” will be an in-person juried exhibition running from May 2 – June 13, 2026 at the Visual and Performing Arts Center (VAPA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. For this exhibition, we seek artwork that interprets exploration in its many forms. Exploration can mean trekking into the wilderness, diving into memory, experimenting with materials, or pushing into new creative territory. Exploration is both a journey and a question.
