For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Public Art Public Art in Micromobility Corrals

The City of Raleigh is seeking artists to design and paint artwork for a network of e-scooter and e-bike corrals through downtown Raleigh. Seven artists will be selected to each create between 9 and 11 corral artworks along an assigned corridor. Project budgets will range from $16,000 to $24,000 per artist, depending on the size and number of corrals they are assigned and the City will provide fast-drying waterborne epoxy-modified acrylic coating for the projects.

Grants & Fellowships, Performing Arts Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants

Are you a dancer anywhere in the US in dire financial emergency? Have you recently lost engagements, or been ill or injured? You may be eligible for a one-time Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grant of up to $3,000. Cycle 19 is open through August 12 for essential expenses including rent, utilities, medicine/healthcare, and food. Cycle 20 will be open September 9 - October 7. Bimonthly cycles will follow. Learn more at this online information session on August 27. This national program is administered by New York Foundation for the Arts and funded by Robert Rauschenberg Foundation. Privacy is guaranteed. 

These programs are open to artists living anywhere in the U.S., its territories, tribal nations, and the District of Columbia. Artists with disabilities, artists of color, and artists living outside of New York are particularly encouraged to apply. Film Filmed in NC Fund

The Filmed in NC Fund supports the production of indie film and video projects by artists who are permanent residents of North Carolina, as well as full-time students at colleges or universities in North Carolina living in the state year round. The Filmed in NC Fund is made possible through the partnership between the NC Film Office and Cucalorus Film Foundation, and through the generosity of Artless Media in conjunction with The Magnifying Glass. It is intended to support the development and production of new and ongoing projects with total budgets under $1,500,000. Selected projects are supported with funds ranging from $500 to $3,000 per project.

The Filmed in NC Fund supports emerging and established artists with a proven record for producing singular and original work, exhibiting potential for meaningful community impact and generating substantial economic activity in North Carolina.  This program supports narrative, documentary, and experimental films and includes projects at various stages of production (new and existing projects). While the program prioritizes funding for women filmmakers, filmmakers of color, and LGBTQ+ identifying filmmakers, anyone and everyone is taken into consideration.

Professional Development Free South Arts webinar: Grant writing 101 for artists

Overview:  
Grant writing doesn’t have to be intimidating. In this practical and approachable webinar, participants will learn the fundamentals of writing successful grant applications from finding the right opportunities to crafting strong narratives, budgets, and timelines.

Led by Amanda Karioth Thompson, an independent arts consultant with two decades of experience as both a maker and an arts administrator, this session offers real-world insight into how artists can present themselves and their work professionally. Drawing on her experiences as a grantee, grantor, and grant panelist, Amanda shares practical strategies and tips to help artists minimize frustration and maximize their chances of success.

The webinar will include a live Q&A session, and all attendees will receive a copy of the presentation slides following the event.

  • Where to find grants that align with their artistic goals
  • What information and materials to gather before starting an application
  • How to identify the most important elements of a compelling proposal
  • What makes a strong budget and timeline
  • What to do once a grant is awarded

Intended Audience:
This session is ideal for practicing artists of all disciplines who are new to grant writing or looking to strengthen their skills.

Presenter:
Amanda holds degrees in Studio Art and Art Education from Florida State University, as well as a Master’s in Art Education. She is also a certified K–12 art teacher and a practicing artist working in glass, ceramics, and mixed media.

Amanda Karioth Thompson is an independent arts consultant focused on helping people navigate their creative projects. As the founder of AKT Artful, she provides a unique perspective and specialized expertise as a knowledgeable advisor, collaborator, and interpreter. With 20 years of experience as a maker and arts administrator, she develops, manages, and produces arts-related content, projects, programming, and events. Amanda offers customized support tailored to the creative needs of her clients, which include municipal agencies, businesses, nonprofit organizations, educators, artists, and individuals. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Amanda attended FSU and earned two bachelor’s degrees in Studio Art and Art Education, and a Master’s Degree in Art Education. She also holds a K-12 Florida Art Teacher Certification and volunteers in arts classrooms across the community. She is a practicing artist working in glass, ceramics, and a variety of other media.

Professional Development Southern Curators Summit

South Arts, in partnership with ArtFields, will present the Southern Curators Summit in Lake City, SC October 8-10, 2025. The Summit brings Southern curators working in visual culture together for high-level discussions about the current state of the arts in the South and to form a new vision for the arts and culture in this region.

Curating Against the Canon is a call to challenge dominant narratives and make space for voices historically pushed to the margins. It recognizes that emerging voices and new media are actively reshaping curatorial authority, methodologies, and practices, disrupting long-standing conventions at the core of curatorial work.

Performing Arts Community play-along: Mallarmé series concert

Calling all FLUTISTS!

Join Mallarmé’s Flute Fems concert in Trudy Kane’s arrangement of Bizet’s Carmen with four C flute parts.

Trudy Kane, former principal flutist with the Metropolitan Opera, professor at Frost University and recipient of the 2024 National Flute Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award will conduct the ensemble.

The only requirement is that you learn one part from the Carmen Flute for 4 (a part will be assigned to you after enrollment) and can attend the concert on Sunday, Sept 14 @ 3 pm Nelson Music Room, Duke's East Campus AND the rehearsal, Saturday, Sept 13 @ 3 pm. There is a $20 sign-up fee that includes a ticket (usually $30) to the concert. Students, amateurs and professionals are welcome! Players must be at least at an intermediate level and have experience playing in a conducted ensemble as there is only ONE rehearsal. Questions email: office@mallarmemusic.org.

Wayne Art Center seeks submissions for Art Quilt Elements 2026, a juried group exhibition of contemporary fine art quilts. Selected works will be on display at Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from March 23 through April 25, 2026. Applications accepted July 1-October 16, 2025. Performing Arts Call for scores: EarShot readings

EarShot is the nation's first ongoing, systematic program for cultivating relationships between orchestras and emerging composers. In addition to its annual readings with the NYC-based American Composers Orchestra, EarShot works with a national network of orchestral partners each season to discover and develop composers whose work expands the definition of American orchestral music.

The American Composers Orchestra is seeking composers with works for symphonic orchestra (3333-4331-timp+3-harp-piano/cel-strings) to be rehearsed, performed, and recorded in New York City on June 11-12, 2026, offering selected participants the opportunity to collaborate with mentors consisting of both established orchestral composers and industry leaders.

There is no application fee. Travel (up to $700) and local accommodations are provided. Participants will receive recordings of their works for both personal and professional use.

Visual Art Grace Gallery Annual Juried Exhibition

Grace Arts Center Gallery, Mills River, NC proudly presents the 21st Annual Juried Art Exhibition! All mediums of visual artists with 2D and 3D work accepted. Artists may drop off their work to be judged in person October 26th from 3-6 pm or October 27th from 9am - 12 noon. An Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 6:30 pm with cash prizes & multiple awards including Best Emerging Artist. Our 2025 Juror is Katrina Chenevert, artist and gallery owner in Asheville.
