    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Literary Arts Anthology Photography Competition 2024

Open to photographers working at any level, the Anthology Photography Competition celebrates outstanding standalone images. It also provides a platform for photographers to showcase their work through publication.
Images submitted must be on the theme of ‘Everyday Wonders’. Submissions will be judged on quality, creativity, originality, and visual/emotional impact.
The winner will receive a €500 cash prize and editorial coverage in a future issue of Anthology magazine.

Literary Arts Anthology Travel Writing Competition 2024

Established for writers who like to share authentic travel experiences and to provide a platform for publication. The Anthology Travel Writing Competition is open to original and previously unpublished travel articles in the English language by writers of any nationality, living anywhere in the world. We are looking for an engaging article that will capture the reader’s attention, conveying a strong sense of the destination and the local culture.

Visual Art Anthology Art Competition 2024

The Anthology Art Competition is established to foster and support both established and emerging visual artists and provide a platform for publication. The competition is open to multiple genres including painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography and digital media. 
Works entered must not have appeared on the cover of another publication. Works previously exhibited or published on the artist’s website on the interior pages of a book or magazine are accepted.

Literary Arts Anthology Poetry Competition 2024

Established to recognise and encourage excellence in the craft of poetry writing and to provide a platform for publication, the Anthology Poetry Competition is open to original and previously unpublished poems in the English language. Entries are invited from poets of all nationalities, living anywhere in the world. There is no restriction on theme or style. Poems submitted should not exceed 40 lines. There is no limit to entries per person. Each submission will require a separate entry form.

Visual Art Duke Arts & Health Artist Exhibit Applications Open for 2025

North Carolina artisans have the opportunity to display and sell their artwork to Duke University Hospital employees, visitors and patients.  Arts and Health showcases artwork by individual artist and groups for eight-week exhibit periods.  

Criteria:
• Must be a North Carolina based artist or guilds, and/or a national or international artist who have a Duke connection.
• Works must be original to the artisan and/or handcrafted by the artisan applying.
• Works should give a positive expression of hope, compassion, humor, acceptance, and peace.

Residencies Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans program honors the contributions of immigrants and children of immigrants to the United States. Each year, we invest in the graduate education of 30 New Americans—immigrants and children of immigrants—who are poised to make significant contributions to US society, culture, or their academic field. Each Fellow receives up to $90,000 in financial support over two years, and they join a lifelong community of New American Fellows.

Visual Art Artist Call: Pullen Arts Center Solo Exhibition

Pullen Arts Center is seeking solo artist submissions for the 2026 exhibition program.

Persons 18 years of age or older, residing in the City of Raleigh, who participate or make art at Pullen Arts Center are prioritized. However, artists working across the region are encouraged to apply. We define “all artists” to include the range of human differences (race and ethnicity, gender identity, age, socio-economic and housing status, religion, political affiliation, physical, and mental ability) and the broadest definition of an arts professional. All artists are welcome to apply.
