    South Arts is a nonprofit regional arts organization empowering artists, organizations, and communities, and increasing access to arts and culture. 
  • NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources
    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Visual Art Flowers | Juried Art Exhibition

UPWARD Gallery invites worldwide artists to submit artwork for our juried exhibition, Flowers.
Artists 18 and older are encouraged to submit their works in any medium, style, and genre.
Our platform is designed to share art with new audiences and help artists expand their influence and become known. To achieve our goal, we curate themed online exhibitions and publish UPWARD's Quarterly, a printed art periodical.


Fees or awards
All accepted pieces will be displayed on our website, upwardgallery.com. Art industry professionals will review the artworks, and selected pieces will be published in our magazine. $12 for entry, $10 (2-4 entries), $9 (5 or more entries).

Cape Fear Studios is proud to announce its 13th National 2D Competition. This juried competition is open to all artists, 18 or older, in the United States. Residencies McColl Center

McColl Center's Artist-in-Residence Program fosters artistic growth for emerging and mid-career artists. Now open for Winter/Spring 2025 applications. Residents enjoy private housing, studio space, guidance, marketing support, and a stipend. Access to shared labs: 3D, ceramics, metal, media, and woodshop. It's a chance to think big, take creative risks, and explore ideas.

Grants & Fellowships National AIDS Memorial

The Mary Bowman Arts in Activism Award supports accomplished young and emerging art activists ("artivists") who use arts as the vehicle for heath, social justice and/or HIV/AIDS community activism and expression to raise greater awareness about bigotry, stigma, and social inequities. Student and non-student artivists are welcome to apply. Application deadline is July 15. Winners notified by September 1.

Performing Arts, Visual Art ArtsMarket 2024

ArtsMarket is an annual three-day conference co-produced by the North Carolina Presenters Consortium and the North Carolina Arts Council, drawing hundreds of performing arts presenters, agents, performing artists, vendors, and service providers to downtown Durham, North Carolina. ArtsMarket’s single-track format provides numerous opportunities for connection and excellent value to attendees from the Southeastern U.S. and beyond.

Performing artists of ALL disciplines are encouraged to apply (music, dance, theatre, children’s/educational, magic, comedy, variety, professional speakers, etc.) as we are committed to presenting a wide range of diverse performances.
