    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina

    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Public Art, Visual Art InLight: Grounds for Clearing - Call for Proposals

Proposals are open for 1708 Gallery’s InLight: Grounds for Clearing. InLight is an annual nighttime outdoor exhibition of contemporary art. Artists are invited to propose projects that consider the site’s topography, history, wildlife, climate patterns, and current uses; as well as ideas around rest and healing, isolation and exile, preservation and reclamation, and fresh air and nature as forms of respite and remedy; and engage archival photographs, site maps and other materials.

Aimed to support diverse art practices, the Art*Aid Scholarship offers opportunities to learn and expand your artistic practice. Scholarship residencies are available in Puebla, Oaxaca or Cusco, up to 30%* for specific instructional programs and self-directed residencies.

Kakalak 2024’s poetry and art contests are now open for submissions. Cash prizes and publication offered. Fee is $10 to submit up to 3 poems or 3 art pieces. Residencies McColl Center

McColl Center's Artist-in-Residence Program fosters artistic growth for emerging and mid-career artists. Now open for Winter/Spring 2025 applications. Residents enjoy private housing, studio space, guidance, marketing support, and a stipend. Access to shared labs: 3D, ceramics, metal, media, and woodshop. It's a chance to think big, take creative risks, and explore ideas.
