Director: The City of Morganton Municipal Auditorium (CoMMA) is seeking a creative, team-oriented, enthusiastic, passionate, and progressive leader with sound business management practices to manage all operations of CoMMA. The Director is responsible for a $1.2 million budget; planning, organizing, scheduling, negotiating contracts, and promoting the season’s programs and events; marketing and recruiting other business, cultural, and entertainment events to ensure facility utilization and generation of revenue; and maintenance of the facility.

Vice President of External Affairs: The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra seeks a talented, results-oriented Vice President of External Affairs to oversee public relations and publications and well as to steward the CSO’s work in education and the community. The VP of External Affairs is a critical member of the CSO’s leadership team responsible for setting the strategic direction of the institution. S/he oversees the Symphony’s publications and public relations, youth education programs, community partnerships and engagement efforts. The VP of External Affairs works with the CEO to develop programs and initiatives that fulfill our institutional goals, with a particular emphasis on programs that use the Symphony’s unique assets to address both challenges and opportunities in Charlotte. S/he directly manages communication activities that promote, enhance and develop the CSO brand.

Gallery Manager: Arts of the Albemarle (AoA), a regional non-profit arts council in downtown Elizabeth City whose world-class facility houses the Jacquelin Jenkins Gallery, is searching for a Gallery Manager responsible for overseeing the galleries, contributing to the Visual Arts programming of AoA and serving as a liaison between AoA and artist-members. Teachers: Sawtooth School for Visual Art is seeking teachers for Camp Sawtooth, a specialized art camp for pre-K through 5th grade students. Students in Camp Sawtooth create quality art from a variety of mediums inspired by a weekly theme. Teachers are responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, inspiring creativity, and managing classroom behavior and safety. All classrooms have a 4:1 ratio, so students receive lots of individualized attention. Event and Volunteer Coordinator: The John C. Campbell Folk School is hiring an Event and Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing annual events that provide engaging and rewarding experiences for attendees and connect the Folk School to the community. The position is responsible for annual and special events from start to finish, leading a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, vendors, artists, and performers. The successful candidate works closely with staff to ensure that all details are delivered on time, within budget, and at the desired level of quality.
