Joan Mitchell Foundation Emergency Grant

The Joan Mitchell Foundation has opened the 2020 application to our Emergency Grants for individual artists, which provides grants of up to $6,000 to US-based visual artists who have been impacted by a natural or man-made disaster affecting a region on a broad scale. The Emergency Grant is intended to help reestablish their studio practice. We accept applications on a rolling basis and will consider requests for up to three years following such an event. 2020 is the final year we will be accepting applications for artists affected by 2017 events: Hurricanes Harvey, Maria, and Irma, and 2017 California Wildfires.
