    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils

    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Residencies Artist in Residence At The Factory On Willow

A 12-week program designed to bring creative minds from around the world to Manchester, NH. Experience an environment that allows creative freedom to discover, define, and refine your creative practice.

The program is designed to support emerging artists with a place to live for up to 3 months. During this time selected applicants can focus full-time on further developing their creative practice as they take steps to cross the bridge into becoming career professionals.

Selected participants are awarded room and board for up to 12 weeks, travel, food, and supply stipends.

Public Art Raleigh Arts

Create Public Artwork at Tarboro Road Park. This project is part of the 2022 Parks Bond.
Artwork can be integrated into the renovation of the historic building or incorporated into the site.
$129,000 budget to design and fabricate. Additional funds are held for engagement and accessibility.
Up to three semi-finalists will be selected to interview and paid a $100 honorarium.

Public Art Downtown Greenway Market + Branch Commission

The Downtown Greenway in Greensboro NC has issued a national call for artists for a new major piece of public art. Located where the future Western Branch section will cross West Market Street and temporarily called "Market + Branch", this project is open to experienced local, regional, and national artists. Details regarding this commission, including application deadline, selection process, and specifications can be found online via the CODAworx portal or on the Downtown Greenway website.

Public Art CALL FOR ARTISTS - Hambright Park & Ride Art

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) invites NC and SC artists to submit qualifications to integrate art into the design of a new park and ride lot in Huntersville, NC. The primary art opportunity is to incorporate art into the driver's comfort station and/or surrounding passenger amenities.

The art budget is $20,000 (design only) and CATS will select one artist for this project. The deadline to submit qualifications is March 31, 2024 by 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Public Art Artist Studio Summer Camp

The Artist Studio Summer Camp is an art-based day camp at Pullen Arts Center that provides pre-teens and teens (ages 11-16) with the opportunity for skill-building and creative exploration within a professional art studio setting. Camp workshops are designed and taught by professional teaching artists.

Artist Studio Summer Camp runs from July 8 - August 2 as four one-week sessions with different studio themes. Program hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Camp fee is $350 resident and $365 non-resident. 

During each weekly session, teens will take art-related field trips and end each day with open studio time, where they will be able to work on individual projects or participate in fun, collaborative art-making activities. The Artist Studio Summer Camp will end with a student exhibition.

Program hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants should bring a lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle each day.

Public Art Art Field Day

Art Field Day is a art public pop-up celebrating three-dimensional outdoor art while uplifting artist participants through community connection. The mission of this initiative is to support the Charlotte community by displaying meaningful sculptures. This one-day community project is interactive, encouraging the public to engage their sense of sight, taste, touch, sound, or smell.
Artists are prompted to reflect on a childhood memory that will inspire them to create a multi-sensory work.

Participating artists will be awarded a small stipend.
