  • NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources
    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

This call is open to exceptionally talented artists at any stage of their career, who are located within the United States or abroad. All work must be either fiber in content or executed in a fiber technique.

Public Art Five Points Archway Mural

The Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge, in collaboration with the Pitt County Civic Arts Committee, invites visual and graphic artists to create an original design for the Five Points Archway Public Art Project. Artists with a connection to Greenville, Pitt County, eastern NC, and/or ECU are encouraged to apply.

Literary Arts Anthology Short Story Competition 2024

Established to recognize and encourage creative writing and provide a platform for publication, the Anthology Short Story Competition is open to original and previously unpublished short stories in the English language by a writer of any nationality, living anywhere in the world. There is no restriction on theme or style. Stories submitted must not exceed the maximum of 1,500 words. Writers can submit as many entries as they wish. Each submission will require a separate entry form.

Grants & Fellowships NBA Foundation Grants

The NBA Foundation is now accepting grant applications for 2024 on a rolling basis.  Applications will be reviewed within 12-14 weeks of submission and only applications from organizations serving Black youth within NBA markets will be considered.

In order to be considered for a grant from the NBA Foundation, your organization must meet the following requirements:

Qualify as a registered 501(c)3 tax organization or a T3010 if operating in Canada
Have a current IRS Form 990 from the most fiscal year
Focus on promoting school-to-career employment opportunities that target Black youth ages 14-24 years old
Serve a minimum of 25 youth annually across your programs

The winner will receive a €500 and the chance to see their work published.

Arquetopia is offering artist residency scholarships for visual artists, designers and writers in three of our four residency sites through this special subsidized program. Aimed to support diverse art practices, the Art*Aid Scholarship offers opportunities to learn and expand your artistic practice. Scholarship residencies are available in Puebla, Oaxaca or Cusco, up to 30%* for specific instructional programs and self-directed residencies.

Visual Art Wayne Art Center Craft Forms 2024 Call For Entry

Wayne Art Center is seeking submissions for the 29th International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Craft, in the following mediums: basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. Work created utilizing CAD/CAM technologies and 3D printing tools also is eligible. Selected works will be on display in the Davenport Gallery of Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from December 7, 2024 through January 25, 2025.

We are looking for writing that is clever and unique, inspires us, and crafts a compelling story. 
The winner will receive a €300 cash prize and the chance to see their work published.
