  • NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources
    The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources awards grants to individuals and organizations to foster historical, cultural, recreational, and environmental pursuits.
  • Local Arts Councils
    Check with your local arts council for regional artist opportunities and grants. 

  • ARTS North Carolina
    Publicizes job and internship opportunities through its membership listserv. Arts North Carolina will not post job listings that do not provide a salary range or that request candidates provide a salary history. Members may submit unlimited listings at no charge. Non-members pay $100 per listing.
  • Jobs in North Carolina Government
    Jobs openings are listed for all agencies within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, including the N.C. Arts Council.

  • Americans for the Arts
    A service for both job seekers and arts employers. Job seekers can post their resumes and use the searchable database of nonprofit and for-profit arts management positions at organizations across the United States. For a moderate fee, employers can post a job opening and use the searchable database of online resumes to find qualified professional candidates.
  • New York Foundation for the Arts
    Job seekers can access listings for free and arts organizations are charged a moderate fee to post a job opening or artist opportunity.

Visual Art Nature's Canvas | Open Call

'Nature's Canvas' is an online juried exhibition, which will be presenting 3 awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The deadline for ‘Nature’s Canvas’ is April 15th.

Open to artists 18+ working in all mediums, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media and video. Applicants are not restricted on the number of entries.

Entry fee is $6 for 3 images.

Performing Arts ComMotion - Community in Motion Facilitator Training

With this introductory course, become a more effective facilitator of movement activities geared towards a variety of populations. The course will equip participants with the specialized knowledge & skills to begin leading small group activities. Graduates will gain access to ComMotion's Facilitator App, loaded with lesson plans, instructional videos, playlists, and more.

Public Art, Visual Art Piedmont Triad International Airport

The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA) is now opening the 2024 search for artists with a call for two-dimensional paintings, photographs, mixed media, small, three-dimensional sculptures, and large outdoor sculptures. This request is open to all artists in the State of NC and southern VA Counties who border the Piedmont Triad. For the 2024/2025 exhibition, The PTAA is now opening up the call to sculptors of large-scale work to artists in Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.


Fees or awards
Outdoor Sculpture - $2000 for delivery and pick up and $100 per artist for 2D and 3D work.

Professional Development Jones Dance Education Scholarship | ADF

The American Dance Festival will host a Dance Professional Workshop (DPW) for Educators from June 30 to July 6, 2024. All North Carolina K-12 Dance Educators qualify for the Jones Dance Education Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship for DPW Educators with a $125 stipend.

Visual Art Prisma Art Prize - Rome - 14TH Edition

The call for entries of the 14th edition of Prisma Art Prize, an international art prize born to promote emerging painters and visual artist, is now open for submissions.
As our name and logo suggest, we want to be a prism that refracts all the possible outcomes of the painting process: we aim to collect and exhibit a selection of works of art that is inclusive, diverse and representative of the possibilities that the medium of painting offers to artists.

Professional Development Arts Access 101

Arts Access North Carolina in conjunction with the Cucalorus Film Festival is presenting Access 101, a full day workshop exploring access to the arts for people with disabilities. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 24th at Jengo’s Playhouse in Wilmington, NC.
Access 101  is for arts administrators, board members, volunteers, and front line staff at cultural arts organizations.
Topics Include: 

- Overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act and how it impacts arts organizations

- Accommodations for patrons with disabilities

- Sensitivity and disability etiquette in communications

- Steps for writing your organizational ADA plan


Registration for the workshop is only $25 and includes lunch.

Visual Art Craven Arts Council & Gallery

ROY G BIV is an exhibition by Craven Arts Council & Gallery showcasing the use of color. Each artist will receive a 12”x12” cradled board and draw a random color. Each work will utilize hues, shades, tints and tones of that color as the primary palate for the work. Each panel in the Main Gallery at Bank of the Arts will be filled with works featuring that color, creating a rainbow that moves across the gallery. 20 cash prizes and sales opportunity. Limited spaces.
