The Cat’s Cradle might be North Carolina’s most famous rock club. Its original location opened in 1969, and it has since become the Triangle’s most storied live music venue. Serving as the home to Chapel Hill’s indie-rock incubator of the 80s and 90s, the Cat’s Cradle is a stepping stone venue for local bands trying to hit the big time, a familiar space for nationally touring acts, and host to various charity and all-ages shows throughout the year.
To commemorate 50 years of live music, the Cat’s Cradle is celebrating the only way they know how – six nights of shows starting Friday, Dec. 27 featuring many of the acts that helped write the story of the venue. Keep an eye on CatsCradle.com for the full line-up announcement and buy your tickets here.
Debra DeMilo fronted the popular ‘80s Raleigh rock band, The Fabulous Knobs. Her style and vocals have been likened to Mick Jagger and Tina Turner's, and after 30 years The Fabulous Knobs have since reunited.
