ACRE Summer Residency Program

Steuben, WI

The ACRE Residency Program takes place every summer in rural Southwest Wisconsin. Developed as a means to support emerging visual artists, sound artists, musicians, performers, writers and curators, the program provides artists with the opportunity to expand upon their individual practices as well as take part in optional programming within a collaborative community. ACRE’s 14-day residencies host 25-30 residents at a time. Additionally, visiting artists are invited to conduct studio visits and present lectures, discussions, and workshops. Non-cash awards.

Carolina Performing Arts

Chapel Hill

The Commons is a new initiative devoted to supporting performing artists and fostering local creative community and discourse in and around the Triangle. Supported by Carolina Performing Arts, this inaugural program offers a four-week residency, billing in a public festival at CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio, and critical feedback for the three selected locally-based artists whose applications most keenly demonstrate that their intended performance is pressing for this time, place, and community. The Commons is accepting applications for this residency.

STARworks Clay Studio

Star, NC

The STARworks Clay Studio is accepting applications for residency positions of one to six months duration.  The residency allows artists the opportunity to expand studio practices, and experiment with a stipend of STARworks manufactured local clay and work with visiting artists and the opportunity to become connected with nearby Seagrove, NC potters.

Brickscape Artist Residency & Exhibition

Charleston, WV

Brickscape is an artist residency and exhibition that celebrates the history & culture of Charleston, WV by inviting local and national artists to create immersive installation art in underutilized historical spaces. The residency takes place from May 5th to June 15th with the exhibition opening from June 15th to July 14th. Free housing and $700 stipend upon acceptance. Entry fee.
