North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources Secretary Linda A. Carlisle will announce the 2010-11 North Carolina Arts Council statewide grants at a press conference at 12:15 p.m., Monday, Aug. 9 in Durham.
The press conference will be held at Golden Belt, a restored textile mill where artists work and live located at 807 East Main St., in downtown Durham. Joining Secretary Carlisle will be Mary B. Regan, the executive director of the N.C. Arts Council, Bobby Kadis, N.C. Arts Council board chair and Sherry DeVries, executive director of the Durham Arts Council along with arts groups from the region. The press conference will be held in Room 100.
Secretary Carlisle will announce state investments across North Carolina and its continuing impact on the state's economy and creative industry.
