Participants work closely with a consultant on mission and positioning, financial management, board development, fundraising, marketing and program development. Participants also attend workshops and conferences. Clear goals and expectations are developed with the consultant. Grant amounts of $4,000 are awarded. Matching funds are not required. Organizations may participate at this level for up to three years.
The following criteria are used to select organizations for technical assistance:
- Merit of arts programs
- Ability of organization to benefit from technical assistance
How to Apply
Applicants will submit the form electronically through North Carolina ARTS Grants Online (AGO).
Applicants will be asked to provide the following information on the application form. Make sure that the information you provide addresses the evaluation criteria.
- Provide a complete description of all arts programs planned for the grant year. Include names and descriptions of artists involved and the rate of payment for their services. Attach a schedule of completed 2012–2013 arts programs.
- Describe the current condition of the organization and the two to three challenges it is facing.
- Describe what the organization hopes to accomplish by participating in the Technical Assistance level.
- If you received 2012–2013 Technical Assistance Funds, describe what you have accomplished.
- Attach a financial statement or audit for your most recently completed fiscal year (2011–2012).
Project Period All grant-supported activities must take place between July 1, 2013, and June 30, 2014.
