City of Asheville Public Art Board

This program (established 2002) operates through the Asheville Department of Parks and Recreation and is funded through 1 percent of capital improvement project. Although not a % for art program, a public art master plan with yearly appropriations for public art was established in October 2001. Arts and Science Council Public Art Program

Charlotte has the most established program in NC, which operates through a public/private partnership (established 1993) and a 1 percent for art program (established 2003) with an emphasis to urban design. City of Durham Public Art Program

City of Raleigh Arts Commission
