The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without. Whether it's traditional mountain music, Piedmont Blues, soulful jazz, operatic arias or timeless orchestral pieces, North Carolina has had a long and lasting love affair with music. And we can claim some extraordinary musical legends as our very own: Nina Simone, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Doc Watson, Shirley Caesar, Earl Scruggs, Blind Boy Fuller.
