Yusuf Salim is a Baltimore native. He has lived in Durham since arriving from Baltimore twenty five years ago. He was one of the mainstays in Baltimore, playing with Rus Brown, Billy Eckstein and Billie Holiday. He was featured at the Royall Theater in Baltimore.
