"I would ultimately like to fund an album consisting of jazz with strings. This would take a substantial time for study, but since I keep a demanding work schedule (teaching and performing), there’s little or no time for the study of string writing. The study of strings will add another dimension to my jazz knowledge, which would certainly strengthen my artistic development, and aid in the development of greater teaching skills which I can pass on to the student. "

Todd Wright received a Masters of Arts ((Music) from Appalachian State University and is working on his Doctorate of Music at the University of South Carolina. He is the Director of Jazz Studies at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he lives.
