Paige Whitley-Bauguess
Choreographer

"I will use my fellowship to create a Baroque Dance Video. There is no video currently available specifically addressing this dance style and technique which is the predecessor of ballet. Baroque dancing is challenging, beautiful, dramatic, and enlightening. The creation of the video is important to my development as a Baroque Dance Historian, Instructor, and Choreographer, as well as to the field of Dance History."

Paige Whitley-Bauguess has a B.F.A. from NC School of the Arts and an M.A. in dance history from University of California, Riverside, CA. In addition to her international performing activities, she owns a ballet school in New Bern, NC and is on the faculties of the East Coast Baroque Dance Workshop at Rutgers and the Stanford Baroque Dance Workshop.
