"With the Visual Artists Fellowship I plan to rent a warehouse where I will produce four installations and exhibitions. Having a site for a secured period of time will enable me to develop duration based works that investigate the relationship between spatial experience and elements of time. I hope that my installations will eventually bring some sort of awareness and activity to the overlooked area of town and that my interaction with the community will help people engage in a more open dialogue about art. I am also excited by the opportunity to investigate and pursue my work in a focused and concentrated manner. It will be invaluable to my development as a visual artist."

Seo Eo has a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Utah State University in Logan, and an M.F.A. from Indiana University in Bloomington. He is an assistant professor in the School of Art at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where he lives.
