Renee Landry-Ambrose
Installation artist
"With this fellowship, I plan to create a series of installations
using everyday objects and industrial motors to humorously reconfigure
notions of beauty, love, sexuality, media hype and social trends.
This grant will allow me to purchase industrial motors and timers
for these pieces. With these motors and timers I will be able
to experiment with the variables of force, weight, speed and object
placement."
Renee Landry-Ambrose has a B.A. in landscape architecture from
Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, and an M.F.A. in performance
art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She currently
works as an exhibit design technician and lives in Kitty Hawk,
NC.
