Amanda Durant
La Napoule visual artist residency

"I look upon my residency at La Napoule as an opportunity to devote time to my creative work and to benefit from the interaction with other artists. In graduate school I learned the value of constructive communication among artists, and I welcome the chance to experience this exchange again in a setting that is free from the distractions of everyday life. I anticipate an enriching cultural experience at La Napoule and am anxious to see its effect on my work."

Amanda Durant received a BFA in painting and printmaking from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and an MFA in painting and drawing from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She lives in Raleigh, NC.
