Douglas Bohr
Installation artist
"I am interested in creating images which are experienced in time
and focus attention on the act of seeing that image evolve. Recent
work consists of installations of objects into which time-based
media, such as video and audio, are incorporated. The visual arts
fellowship will afford me the opportunity to experiment further
with this new media and enable me to take these ideas to a new
level."
Douglas Bohr has a B.F.A. from the School for the Arts at Boston
University and an M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina
at Greensboro. He is currently registrar/installation manager
at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem,
NC where he lives.
