Loonis McGlohan Composer "If awarded a grant, I will use this to produce a CD of North Carolina (and Southern) hymn tunes and spirituals. The research I have done on obscure and rarely-heard spirituals should be, I think, a viable and worthwhile endeavor." Loonis McGlohon has honorary doctorate degrees from Winthrop University, The University of North Carolina, Belmont Abby, and East Carolina University. He is also named to the Hall of Fame, National Academy of Television Arts. He is still active in composing, recording and performing. He lives in Charlotte, NC.
