Thomas M. DeTitta Writer "I will use the fellowship to complete two works in progress. My mission is to realize the potential scope and modes of presentation of community-based theater. This grant will allow me to take three months alone to just work and finish that which I otherwise seem helpless to access?. (two new plays)? whose characters have, for the past five years been begging me to find some time to tell their stories. Perhaps, more importantly, having been given this time through this fellowship, I think I can once again turn on my tape recorder to the exciting and enriching stories which I have been so very privileged to come upon -- without feeling that they are about to overcome me." Thomas DeTitta has a B.A. from Duke University. He is the Director of World Communities: Center for Community Based Theater at Georgia Southwestern State University. Mr. DeTitta lives in Murphy, NC.
