Sally A. Rogers
Artist
"The 1996-97 North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship I received
was put to constructive use in two ways: toward equipment for
my work (mixed-media sculptures in glass, steel, and stone), and
toward upgrading my current studio facility. I purchased an Esab
plasma-cutter which now enables me to cut organic shapes in stainless,
as well as mild steel, and I built a good, sturdy and useful covered-porch/loading
dock for my studio. I am certain that these improvements will
enhance my work and life for years to come."
Sally A. Rogers has an M.F.A. from Kent State University and a
B.F.A. from the Center for Creative Studies at the College of
Art and Design in Detroit. She lives in Penland, NC.
