Barbara Dickinson
Choreographer

"The Choreographer's Fellowship provided the major funding for Walking Miracles, the result of my proposed project to work with survivors of child sexual abuse. This project answered my concerns of how my work can include the voices of silent populations, or of those who may not have the arts as a large force in their lives. It has been my most important work."

Barbara Dickinson has an M.A. in Performing Arts: Dance from the American University and a B.A. from the University of California, Riverside. She is the Director of Dance Program at Duke University, the Artistic Director of Ways and Means Dance Company, and lives in Durham, NC.
