This project answered my concerns of how my work can include the voices of silent populations, or of those who may not have the arts as a large force in their lives. It has been my most important work." Barbara Dickinson has an M.A. in Performing Arts: Dance from the American University and a B.A. from the University of California, Riverside. She is the Director of Dance Program at Duke University, the Artistic Director of Ways and Means Dance Company, and lives in Durham, NC.
