John F. "Jack" Arnold
Choreographer
"This fellowship would allow me the time and space to fully explore
new ideas and create new works. It would help provide the space
to work. Having no connection with a university or a private studio
is very limiting when trying to find affordable studio space.
This fellowship would give me the luxury of exploration, the luxury
of being able to go into a studio and improvise for five hours
if I wanted, it would give me the much needed time to feed my
artistic and choreographic soul."
Jack Arnold has a M.F.A. in Dance from the University of North
Carolina in Greensboro, and a B.F.A. in Dance form the North Carolina
School of the Arts. He is a former member of Pilobolus Dance Theatre
and is now a freelance choreographer and performs professionally
with various dance companies. He lives in Chapel Hill, NC.
