Biography
Johnson has received many grants, including a N.C. Arts Council Artist Fellowship and Artist Project Grant. He also spends time working with students through public school residency programs. This painter often incorporates a sense of humor and irony in his narrative observations on environmental and societal issues.

Project Description
A mural with eight panels was created to hang above the reference desk in the concourse area of the library. Each panel represents a different forecast for the future of the natural environment using Mt. Pisgah as the background for the artist's various predictions. The library itself is positioned to provide a view of the mountain in the distance.
