Biography
Christopher Janney is an internationally recognized public artist who works primarily with sound, light and movement. He has created art for the Boston Children's Museum, the Miami Dade International Airport and the New York City and Paris subway systems, among others.

Project Description
Sonic Plaza is designed to be a people place that also interacts with the architecture of Joyner Library plaza and stimulates connections between the new entrance and the older areas of the campus. The artwork consists of four elements: the Sonic Gates, the Percussive Water Wall, the Media Glockenspiel and the Ground Cloud Well. It will also be a laboratory for student experimentation in the arts as several of its components can be programmed for student created temporary works.
