Project Description

The mural, North Carolina Belongs to Children, enhances the Legislative Building's North Lobby. Layers of transparent colors and symbols of the state such as dogwoods and cardinals create a patterned landscape map of North Carolina. Figures of children, playing in the trades of the state, add to the imagery, creating the artist's interpretation of a symbolic map.
