Project Description
This large wall mural painted on canvas resides in the lobby of the Jones Building. The artists used imagery from the Adinkra language of the Ashanti people as a design source for the mural. Adinkra is a visual code of conduct that guides and governs the personal and collective behavior of the West African culture. The Adinkra symbolism connects the African ancestry of the past with many of the school's students and faculty of today.
