Biography
Mary Ann Mears has a B.A. degree from Mount Holyoke College and an M.A. degree from New York University. She has completed numerous public and corporate art commissions, including works for the City of Baltimore and the State of Connecticut percent for art programs.

Project Description

Hanging from the overhead support beams of the Recreation Center lobby are five eight-foot aluminum figures. Suspended from cables, each figure is composed of bright colors that interact with various geometric shapes that suggest many athletic activities. The figures and shapes rotate gently, giving the composition a dynamic quality.
