Touring Artists Directory Profile
When was the last time you saw a giant walk through your back yard? Have you seen a ghost in your attic? Have you ever seen a man ride a lion through the middle of town in front of the king? Well, if it’s been a while, you haven’t heard Michael “Badhair” Williams. Giants, witches, and ghosts come to life under his deft touch.
Williams has been telling stories from Appalachian folklore throughout the country for more than 32 years. He has performed at a wide range of venues, including the World’s Fair and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, for well over a million eager listeners.
Performances feature a variety of themes that range from those appropriate for all ages to scarier shows rated PG-10, and last from 45 to 90 minutes. Fee: $600-$1,250, depending on number of workshops per day, audience size, and distance.
